Postdoctoral researchers at Carleton University ratified their first collective agreement on February 26, 2016.
The two-year deal contains a number of improvements, including wage increases, enhanced benefits, and academic freedom protections.
"This first contract is a significant achievement, and the Carleton University Postdoctoral Association and its members are to be congratulated for their perseverance and determination over a long set of difficult negotiations," said Robin Vose, CAUT President.
CUPA, a member of CAUT, began negotiations with the University in April 2014.
