Carol Agócs, PhD, is a Professor Emerita in the Department of Political Science at Western University in London, Ontario. Her research and publications address issues of racial and gender inequality and discrimination in employment and employment equity policy and its implementation, as well as topics in local governance.

Her publications include Employment Equity in Canada: The Legacy of the Abella Report (University of Toronto Press, 2014), Workplace Equality: International Perspectives on Legislation, Policy and Practice (Kluwer Law International, 2002), and Employment Equity: Cooperative Strategies for Organizational Change (Prentice Hall, 1992), as well as many chapters and journal articles. Carol has served as an expert witness in employment discrimination cases and been active in community organizations. Prior to retirement she was Director of the Local Government Program in Western’s Department of Political Science where she remains a research supervisor.
