Émilie Couture

Digital Communications Coordinator

Émilie Couture comes to CAUT with a long-time passion for language, a constant desire to find new and innovative ways to express herself, and an insatiable sense of curiosity. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Carleton University, specializing in Communication Studies and Political Science. Before joining CAUT, Émilie worked in Media Monitoring and Analysis, as well as in Marketing and Digital Communications for various organizations in Ottawa. Beyond her professional experience, she also has a strong international background, having lived overseas for many years.

John Harris Stevenson

Information Management Officer

John Harris Stevenson brings over 20 years of experience building and supporting collaboration and knowledge sharing technologies. As a public interest technologist and information architect, he has led information management initiatives at the Bank of Canada, House of Commons, International Development Research Centre, CREA, and many non-profits and international NGOs, centred on values of equity, inclusion, and accountability. John has a long history of communications and technology policy research and advocacy. He is a founder of the Community Radio Fund of Canada and Canada’s Forum on Research and Policy in Communications. Originally from the North Shore of Nova Scotia, John holds a PhD in Knowledge Media Design and Internet Governance from the University of Toronto iSchool, and a Master of Arts in Media Studies from Concordia University.
