Professional Expense Reimbursements

CAUT Model Clause 1.1 The Employer shall reimburse members for professional expenses related to their duties and responsibilities.  Such funds may not be used to subsidize the Employer’s provision of equipment and supplies necessary to conduct the member’s regular duties.

Personnel Files

CAUT Model Clause 1 There shall be one official personnel file for each member (hereinafter referred to as the personnel file). The personnel file shall be kept in the office of the Vice-President (Academic)1.

Pension Rights for Contract Academic Staff

CAUT Model Clause Contract academic staff members shall be members of the employer-sponsored pension plan. If this option is not available under the existing plan, the employer shall provide a capital accumulation plan for all members hired on a contract basis1.
