CAUT’s Executive Committee appoints and oversees the Governance Committee. The committee advises the Executive on issues related to governance at universities and colleges.

Responsibilities

The committee focuses on recommending policies and initiatives about collegial or shared governance at Canada's post-secondary institutions.  

Selection process

CAUT’s Executive Committee selects members based on experience relevant to the committee’s mandate and initiatives. Membership must reflect the diversity of CAUT as much as possible along regional, size and type of institution, employment category, linguistic, gender, and equity lines.
