Motions received at the Council meeting will not be included in the online meeting materials on the Council website or translated due to production requirements.

By-Law/Constitutional Amendments — March 19, 2026

Bylaw and constitutional amendments, including amendments to CAUT Rules of Order, special resolutions, and amendments to terms of reference of standing committees should be received by March 19, 2026, but no later than 30 days prior to the meeting, to allow for translation and distribution.

Duly submitted by-law amendments must be circulated to members at least 30 days prior to the Council meeting, as per section 20.3 of CAUT Bylaw Number 1.

Motions and Member Resolutions — March 30, 2026

In accordance with section 6.a of the CAUT Rules of Order, motions from members must be received by March 30, 2026, one month prior to the Council meeting.

Motions received after this date, unless determined by the Elections and Resolutions Committee to be an emergency, will not be considered by Council. Motions received with less than 30 days’ advance notice may be scheduled for debate at a subsequent meeting of Council.

Duly submitted motions that are in order shall be circulated in both official languages to all CAUT member associations at least 15 days prior to the Council meeting.
