Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and uncertainty about what public health restrictions may be in place, this meeting will be held virtually.

The forum will bring together senior grievance officers from across the country, providing opportunities to meet peers from other academic staff associations, share high level discussions, and build networks of contact and support

The theme of this year’s forum is Employer Investigations. Such investigations can touch on topics of discipline, harassment, discrimination, violence, and sexual violence. Regardless of the basis, the investigation procedures and process must respect collective agreements and the principles of natural justice. Panelists will discuss the role of the academic staff association, and particularly the grievance officer, in protecting the rights of members subject to Employer investigations.
