Being a Remote Grievance Officer

The COVID-19 pandemic has radically altered the post-secondary sector as we know it. As academic staff association members have shifted to remote teaching, so have association operations. Additionally, the pandemic has resulted in exceptional grievance cases in the areas of health and safety, shared governance, intellectual property, and academic freedom. Through a member panel, breakout groups, and a plenary session, the 2020 CAUT Forum for Senior Grievance Officers will explore how grievance officers are adapting to this new reality.

Videoconferencing

Due to ongoing restrictions because of the COVID-19 pandemic, delegates will be able to participate via videoconferencing. The forum will be conducted in English and French; there will be simultaneous translation.
