Previously he had been a project manager and researcher at the Social Planning Council of Ottawa-Carleton and vice-president of CUPE Local 4600 at Carleton University. John coordinated the development and execution of the community information and mapping system in Ottawa-Carleton, and headed several demographic research projects in the Ottawa-Carleton region.
Linda is the executive assistant to David Robinson, CAUT's director of public policy and communications. Linda is completing her M.A. thesis in Carleton's Canadian studies program with specialty in women's studies. Prior to coming to CAUT, Linda was administrative assistant for CUPE Local 4600, and an executive board member and chair of the local's women's caucus. Linda has taught in women's studies, and during her undergraduate years at the University of Alberta, she hosted her own program on radio CJSR.
