CAUT Policy Statement

Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) / Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) is medically treatable and is not transmitted by casual contact, and employees with HIV may live full and active lives. CAUT is committed to ensuring that there be no discrimination against, or victimization, criminalization, or harassment of people living with HIV/AIDS. HIV testing must not be used as a prerequisite for recruitment, access to training, promotion or other professional activity.
