Academic freedom and tenure are core values of the profession that CAUT actively promotes and defends. The Academic Freedom and Tenure Committee advises Council and the Executive on policy matters about academic freedom and tenure.

Responsibilities

The committee makes recommendations to Council and the Executive Committee on policy matters relating to academic freedom and tenure, and reviews reports on alleged violations of academic freedom and tenure.
