The University of Guelph Faculty Association (UGFA), which represents 826 faculty, librarians and veterinarians, will be in a legal strike position as of 12:01 am on Friday, March 14th, 2008.

Consequently, this also means that the University of Guelph Administration is in a legal position to lock-out Members of the UGFA at that time.

Negotiations are continuing, and both parties are meeting with a mediator from March 8 to March 13.The Association is still in mediation with the University Administration and we are very committed to reaching a negotiated settlement.
