LTSB - Presidential Salary Supplement (PSS)

A few faculty and Librarians are so exceptional that they cannot be accommodated within the regular time and performance salary grid structure. Therefore, an amount, not to exceed 1% of the Faculty and Librarian Salary Budget, will be allocated to meet this need. The Vice President Academic will identify individuals who might receive a PSS, but their award must be approved by the President. Each supplemental award remains in effect at the pleasure of the President. It is expected that the President will accord public recognition to those awarded Presidential Salary Supplements.

The use of the PSS pool will be monitored by a “Watchdog Committee” (Section G). The Watchdog Committee will issue an annual statistical report on the pool.
