1.1No work ordinarily performed by, or which could be performed by, a member of the bargaining unit
1 shall be performed by an employee of [name of employer] not covered by this agreement or by a person who is not an employee of the [name of the employer], regardless of where the work would be performed.
1.2Notwithstanding 1.1 above, the Employer may hire persons outside the bargaining unit in the following circumstances:
(a) where those persons are members of another academic staff bargaining unit;
(b) where post-doctoral fellows teach credit courses;
(c) where students work as assistants under the supervision of a member of the bargaining unit.
1.3Limitations
2(a) Work assigned to members of another bargaining unit under article 1.2(a) shall not exceed 25% of the total work available.
(b) Work assigned to post-doctoral fellows under article 1.3(b) shall not exceed 5% of the teaching within the academic unit to which the post-doctoral fellow has been assigned.

2. This clause is unnecessary if your complement clause already contains such limitations.
