CAUT Forum – Recasting Equity

February 6-8, 2009 — Delta Chelsea Hotel, Toronto

CAUT is pleased to advise you of its first Equity Forum which will be held at the Delta Chelsea Hotel in Toronto.

The Forum will focus on the theme of Recasting Equity. The goal is to challenge traditional notions about equity and develop new approaches to achieving equity in the academy.  To help meet this goal, there will be a theatrical presentation, panel and group discussions.

The event provides an important opportunity for members of your association – officers, executive members, chief negotiators, equity activists, and other interested members to meet colleagues from other associations, share high level discussion and best practices and build a network of contacts and support.  It allows your leadership, negotiators and equity activists to develop their skills and learn from their counterparts from across Canada.

The Forum begins on Friday, February 6, 2009, with registration beginning at 17:00 and the opening session at 19:00.  The opening session is a key part of the Forum, and we encourage all participants not to miss it.  The Forum will end at noon on Sunday, February 8.

Attached are the agenda, registration form and hotel reservation form. The Forum will be conducted in English; there will be no simultaneous translation.
