Policy Statement on Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) / Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS)

CAUT is committed to ensuring that there be no discrimination, victimization, or harassment against people living with HIV/AIDS. HIV testing must not be used as a prerequisite for recruitment, access to training, or promotion. HIV is not transmitted by casual contact, and employees with HIV may live full and active lives. Therefore, provisions related to disability and chronic illness apply.
