WELCOME

Welcome to the Nipissing University Faculty Association (NUFA) website. We represent over 175 full-time faculty and about 165 part-time members at Nipissing University in North Bay, Ontario and our satellite campuses in Bracebridge and Brantford.

We are organized into two bargaining units, the Full-time Academic Staff Bargaining Unit (FASBU) and the Contract Academic Staff Bargaining Unit (CASBU) which consists of part-time faculty, lab instructors, seminar instructors, and ABQ instructors. We negotiate separate collective agreements but share a common finance and grievance system.

Our aim is to negotiate and ensure the implementation of our collective agreements. We also engage in various learning opportunities and participate with other faculty associations in the wider labour movement.
