Media Availability: The Federal Budget and funding for post-secondary education and research 
(Monday, March 21, 2011) - James Turk, executive director of the Canadian Association of University Teachers (CAUT), will be available to speak with the media following the release of the Federal Budget on Tuesday, March 22.

CAUT has emphasized that the federal government can actively contribute to economic recovery by investing in programs and initiatives that lay the foundations for sustainable growth and the long-term social and cultural development of Canada. In this respect, one of the most important investments the federal government can make in this budget is in post-secondary education and research.
