A voluntary organization such as CUASA can succeed in serving the interests of its membership only to the extent that the members participate in formulating and executing policy. At any given time, approximately two dozen individuals, some of whom carry several functions, carry the major burden of the organizational responsibilities. After a period of service, many of these individuals will move on and CUASA ceases to benefit from their valuable experience and wisdom. The best way to ensure that organizational talent and expertise are maintained and interest is built is for more members to contribute some time and effort to CUASA.
The purpose of the Association is to promote the welfare and interests of the Carleton University academic staff, including the regulation of employment relations between the University and the academic staff, and to affiliate with international, national, provincial and regional organizations for the advancement of the interests of academic staff.
Please return the form below to the Chair, Nominations and Elections Committee via email: cuasa@carleton.ca or by fax to 520-4426 or by interoffice mail to 2004 DT to let us know if you would like to learn more about CUASA and/or participate in active policy making by serving on one of CUASA's committees. All nominations and volunteering suggestions will remain confidential until elections or acclamations are announced or approvals have been sought.
