Mandate Article IX: Elections and By-law 5 (b):
The Committee on Nominations and Elections shall submit to Council nominees for the Standing Committees of CUASA and shall administer all CUASA elections and ballots.
(1) Elections shall be held in the period mid-February through May of each year, in the following sequence:
(2) Each candidate for President-Elect shall be nominated from the membership of the Association by two members of the Association and the President-Elect shall be elected by a mail ballot of the membership from among those nominated, the vote to be taken before the Annual General Meeting.
(3) All other Officers and Committee Members shall be elected by the Council after the Annual General Meeting.
(4) Each candidate for Council shall be nominated from the membership of the appropriate constituency, as described in Article IV(3), by two members of the Association in the constituency, and the election shall take place by mail ballot of the members of the constituency, in accordance with the provisions of Article IX(1).
(5) Election of Officers and Council shall be by simple plurality.
