SUBJECT:  Faculty Information for Strike Preparation

The Strike Preparation Committee has begun the task of coordinating various activities in order to be fully prepared in the event of a strike.  To facilitate this task, the Committee needs the following information from each of our members:

 In order to receive strike pay, full-time AUFA members must picket (or perform alternate strike support services) for 15 hours per week (Monday through Friday), and part-time members will carry out 3 hours of picket or alternate duties each week (per course taught).  Picket lines will be set up for 4 shifts of 3 hours each from Monday to Friday.  Please select two shifts, in order of preference.  The Picket Duty Committee will endeavour to schedule picket duty according to members’ choices, but may not be able to do so in all instances.
