UNIVERSITY CLUB HAPPENINGS

As the term quickly slides by, we invite you to take a moment and relax at the University Club. You’ll get the chance to meet our new house manager, Allison Fuisz. Those of you who already know Allison from her time here as a student or through her involvement in local events know what a high level of professionalism and enthusiasm she brings to the club. Also, take the chance to look at our newly renovated floors upstairs; the games room has never looked better. And, we’ve brought draft beer back to the club! What better way to relax than with a glass of Rickards fresh from the tap.

Of course the University isn’t just about relaxation, it’s also about excitement and fun. We’ve spiced up our TGIFs with more food, more entertainment and a bigger slice of university life with faculty, staff and graduate students all invited out every Friday. (Remember, you don’t have to be a member to come out and enjoy TGIF.)  During the term, we’ll be planning a number of exciting events including martini nights, wine tastings and a Texas-Hold’em poker night. This month we’ll be celebrating homecoming and hosting another  Halloween murder mystery. At the end of term, we’ll have our annual Children’s Christmas Party and one just for the adults.  Keep your eye out for the details of the next event – it’s one reason to read ace-fyi – or check out http://ace.acadiau.ca/auclub/events.html .

As always, our facilities are available to host your upcoming event or meeting. But book early, as we’ve just completed our busiest month ever.  (Note you can now book events by emailing auclub@acadiau.ca.)

So we extend our warmest welcome to all to come out to the University Club. If you haven’t been, come check us out.  If it’s been a while, come on back for a visit.
